Dear Fellow Patriot,
This may be the most important message you receive from me all year ...
... because right now, service members, like U.S. Marine Corporal Scott Nokes — who put their lives on the line to defend our freedom — are relying on you to receive the help they urgently need — and deserve.
I know you, like me, can’t bear the thought of letting down our troops and their families. For the past 30 years, they’ve relied on us for support they couldn’t find anywhere else. But fulfilling our mission of serving them depends on patriots like you renewing your support for 2020 right away.
That’s why I’m counting on you to rush back your Freedom Alliance 2020 Membership Renewal Gift of $30, $50, $100, $250, or more to provide active-duty troops, severely wounded veterans, and military families with the support and recovery assistance they desperately need.
My friend, you’ve done so much for the brave men and women in our Armed Forces before. And I’m praying they can count on you again in 2020.
As we enter our 30th year of serving our nation’s heroes, it’s clear that the help your generosity provides is still urgently needed.
We’ve exhausted our coffers over the past months providing emergency financial support to hospitalized and wounded troops, Christmas gifts for the children of military families, and sending our Gifts From Home Care Packages to deployed troops in war zones overseas.
The Membership Renewal Gifts we receive early in the year from friends like you will determine our budget — and our success — for the next 12 months.
That’s why it’s critical for you to rush your Membership Renewal Gift right away to make sure our wounded heroes don’t go without the care and assistance needed to rebuild their lives ... and save their lives.
I’m talking about heroes like retired U.S. Marine Corporal Scott Nokes. Scott was twice deployed to Afghanistan to fight America-hating terrorists. During his second deployment, he contracted dysentery and sepsis. Scott lost both of his legs and most of his eyesight.
Scott says he’s able to walk with his prosthetic limbs, but for him, it’s “not fun” and “not sustainable.” He wants to go outdoors with friends and family, not feel trapped or left out, and enjoy his life.
Your renewed support today will help provide customized all-terrain wheelchairs to disabled combat troops like Scott. In fact, we have a waiting list of wounded heroes that need these all-terrain wheelchairs. They’re all 100% disabled after suffering terrible injuries after fighting America’s enemies overseas.
But if I don’t receive enough Membership Renewal Gifts in the coming days, we might not be able to award our all-terrain wheelchairs to these deserving heroes.
At the same time, I’ve just found out about Joe, a Special Operations Combat Medic who was assigned to the 1st Ranger Battalion. He deployed to Afghanistan twice where he earned a Bronze Star Medal with “V” distinguishing device for valor in combat. Joe maneuvered through a minefield while under attack to save a soldier that had been wounded from a mine.
He suffers the invisible wounds of war after taking part in numerous high-intensity combat operations. Joe would greatly benefit from the outdoor recreational therapy that we’ve been able to provide for hundreds of other combat troops because of your past support. We change lives every time we bring a group of combat veterans together in the great outdoors.
Yet, we might have to cut back on the hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities — that give veterans opportunities for peer-to-peer counseling and mentorship from people they trust in a positive environment — without the renewed Memberships of loyal partners like you.
My friend, your renewed support today is also urgently needed to provide:
We have a waiting list of deserving wounded heroes, combat troops, and military family members for all of our vital Support Our Troops programs.
Your strong record of supporting our troops shows me you’re not the type to give up when there’s an important job to be done. Our war fighters were there for you and me when duty called. Now they need us to be there for them.
So please, rush me your generous Membership Renewal Gift of $30, $50, $100, $250, or more today.
Semper Fidelis,
LtCol Oliver L. North, USMC (Ret.)
