The surprise and uncertainty of the coronavirus caused donations to go down and requests for help from veterans and their families to go up — severely hindering our ability to provide urgently-needed care and support to our wounded heroes and their families.

This opportunity comes as the demand for our programs is skyrocketing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many veterans are especially vulnerable with the isolation and social distancing forced on them by the crisis.
In fact, we recently contacted a veteran suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress who was isolated in his home because of coronavirus restrictions. Asked how he was doing, this vet admitted he was thinking about ending his life.
But because we were there to help him, this young man is still alive today. He’s doing better and climbing out of the depths of despair he’d fallen into.
Make no mistake, your support helped us save this veteran’s life. And it’s the kind of lifesaving work we can only do with the help of friends like you.

For starters, your gift will help us rush our Gifts From Home Care Packages to American troops in foreign war zones. During this coronavirus crisis, we’ve shipped care packages to our troops on the USS Teddy Roosevelt; to other ships and carriers out at sea; and to our war fighters on the frontlines overseas.
Remember, Freedom Alliance is one of the few organizations still sending care packages abroad. Many nonprofit organizations are being forced to close their doors because of the coronavirus — but we’re still here making sure our troops get served.
And when you send a generous contribution, it will also help us to:

Provide emergency financial support to wounded troops impacted by the COVID-19 crisis who’ve lost their jobs and need help supporting their families;

Help wounded vets overcome social isolation through video conferences and our Buddy Check program.

We’re also preparing for a surge in demand for our recreational therapy programs once the stay at home orders have been lifted;
