Dear Fellow Patriot,

As you and I prepare to celebrate another peaceful holiday season here at home, our troops overseas continue to fight for our freedom and security. And many of our wounded veterans are facing financial hardship and are feeling stressed and worried instead of joyfully thinking about Christmas.

We must not forget our dedicated service members who will be separated from family and friends at this special time of year. And must not forget those who suffered terrible wounds fighting for our nation.

My friend, believe me, the support you and I provide to our troops, our wounded veterans, and their families through Freedom Alliance makes a vital difference — especially during the season of giving.

That’s why I hope you will help me make Freedom Alliance’s #GivingTuesday charity campaign a tremendous success this year.

#GivingTuesday, on November 27, i
s a day focused on giving to charitable causes following the “shopping holidays” of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

This #GivingTuesday, as you consider where to send your charitable gifts, I pray you will let our heroes who have sacrificed so much for our freedom know that they are in our hearts this holiday season.

I’m talking about heroes like Navy Petty Officer Second Class Matthew True. Matthew served 12 years in the Navy with two deployments to Afghanistan and two to Iraq. After surviving multiple IED blasts and firefights with the enemy, he suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress and a Traumatic Brain Injury.

My friend, thanks to caring friends like you, Matthew and his family received our support last Christmas through the Freedom Alliance Presents for Patriots program.

The stress of the holidays is devastating for military families burdened with financial difficulties from caring for our wounded veterans. This stress makes recovery for our veterans even harder.

Matthew and his wife, Monica, and their four children — ages 6-13 — needed our help.

On top of issues dealing with his recovery, Matthew’s mother had just passed away. A day before her funeral, one of the boys was attacked by a dog which bit his face, leading him to get stitches. Two of Mathew’s boys are Autistic and need expensive weekly therapy. And a week after his mother’s funeral, Matthew was laid off from his job.

After Matthew’s mother died, his widowed father came to live with them. But in this difficult first Christmas without his mother, Matthew wanted his brother, who lived out of state, to be with them as well.

With the help of our generous supporters, Freedom Alliance brought this struggling family together for Christmas AND made it joyful for the kids by purchasing Christmas presents to put under the tree.

“I just can’t believe it!” Matthew told us. “We can be together this Christmas. Out of everything you all have done for us, you have given us not just a Christmas, but a true family Christmas. There is nothing I can do to thank you enough.”

Matthew’s wife Monica added: “We are also very grateful for you. Everything brings tears to my eyes. It has been a tough year, not just financially but emotionally.”

Please help support the men and women who have given so much for our liberty on #Giving Tuesday with your generous donation to Freedom Alliance of $25, $35, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, or even more if you’re able so we can continue serving our nation's warriors and their families.

My friend, with your generous #GivingTuesday donation, Freedom Alliance will provide urgently-needed aid and comfort to our troops, wounded veterans, and military families this holiday season and into the New Year.

But we need the continuing support of patriots like you to show our brave heroes their sacrifices aren’t forgotten. So please support Freedom Alliance’s #GivingTuesday campaign with your most generous gift. God bless you.
